Mineral Makeup Jars + Packaging by Grams

Avid mineral makeup users find it convenient to buy a few extra empty cosmetic jars to mix their own colors, use for travel, and also to share samples with friends and family. Orglamix stocks empty jars, lids and sifters for your mineral makeup needs. We also stock our bestselling refillable makeup bursh and refillable makeup jar.  Prices are competitive, and there is a jar that suits each mineral product: 30-gram (10-gram by weight) for foundation, 10-gram (3-gram by weight) for blush, bronzer, setting powder, and eyeshadow, and 5-gram (1 gram by weight) for eyeshadows, shimmers, and glosses.  Loose powder cosmetics are required in the US to be measured by weight, not volume, so that is why we always list approximate weights for powder products on the label.

What is the difference between the size and the amount?

30-gram or 30g jar
(This is the size jar we use for special XL runs of our foundation, blush, glows, bronzers, concealers, correctors, etc)
A 30g jar can contain 30g in weight of water + 30mL in volume of water
A 30g jar DOES NOT contain 30g of minerals
A 30g jar can hold up to 9-10-grams by weight of mineral makeup
Approximately 2 - 2 1/8 Tbsp

20-gram or 20g jar
(This is the size jar we use for full size foundation, blush, glows, bronzers, concealers, correctors, etc)
A 20g jar can contain 20g in weight of water + 20mL in volume of water
A 20g jar DOES NOT contain 20g of minerals
A 20g jar can hold up to 5-6-grams by weight of mineral makeup
Approximately 1 - 1 1/8 Tbsp

10-gram or 10g jar
(This is the size jar we use for our PRO line)
A 10g jar can contain 10g in weight of water + 10mL in volume of water

Teaspoons and Grams

  • 1 gram of mineral makeup = Approx. 1/2 tsp
  • 2 grams of mineral makeup = Approx. 1 1/2 tsps
  • 3 grams of mineral makeup = Approx. 2-2 1/2 tsps
  • 5 grams of mineral makeup = Approx. 3-4 tsps
  • 10 grams of mineral makeup = Approx. 6-8 tsps
  • 1 ounce of mineral makeup = Approx. 28 grams
  • 3 teaspoons in 1 tablespoon


How Long Will Mineral Makeup Last?

  • A 30g jar of foundation will last approximately 12-18 months, even with daily use
  • A 20g jar of foundation, blush, glow, corrector or finishing powder will last approximately 9-12 months, even with daily use
  • A 10g jar of foundation, blush, glow, corrector or finishing powder will last approximately 60-90 applications
  • A 10g jar of eyeshadow will last approximately 150-180 applications
  • A 8g jar of eyeshadow will last approximately 90-120 applications
  • A 5g jar of eyeshadow will last approximately 60-90 applications
  • A 3g jar of eyeshadow will last approximately 30 applications
