Keeping the rest of the face fresh and dewy, this season the eyes have it. These delightfully mesmerizing shades took centre stage with a hypnotic bang.

Though we may not be our best at that time of day, there are few better moments than catching a glimpse of the sky at sunrise. And from the looks of it, makeup artists agree: This spring, they smudged a sun-drenched palette of orange, peach, and yellow all over the lids for results we think are worth waking up to. Keeping the rest of the face fresh and dewy, this season the eyes have it.

Makeup artist Tom Pecheux gave models at Peter Som a horizon effect by blending bright orange shadow into pastel yellow. He then mixed two M.A.C. Pro Paint SticksGenuine Orange and Pure White—to create a softer shade of orange (think sherbet) and smudged it along the inner corners, in the crease, and up to the brow bones. While Pecheaux left lashes bare, for everyday, we recommend applying black mascara on the top lashes to add definition.
