DIY Sweet & Spicy Chocolate Lip Polish Recipe
This divine, creamy scrub softly exfoliates, while leaving behind a nice layer of buttery moisture on your lips. Sweet and Spicy Chocolate Lip Scrub is a gentle lip exfoliant that preps and perfects with pure brown sugar crystals, nourishing oils, moisturizing cocoa butter and plumping chili powder.
This unique sweet and spicy chocolate formula is enriched with real brown sugar crystals to gently buff away dry flakes as it exfoliates and conditions for a smooth finish. The formula nourishes lips with quick-absorbing coconut oil, while cocoa butter provides long-lasting moisture. Lips are left delectably soft and smooth.
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup cocoa butter (for moisture)
- 1/4 cup tablespoons coconut oil (for moisture)
- 1/4 cup tablespoons brown sugar (for exfoliation)
- 1/4 cup teaspoon cocoa powder (for taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon chili powder (for plumping)
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder (for plumping)
Instructions:
- Melt the cocoa butter in a microwave safe dish.
- Add the coconut oil and stir until it melts in the cocoa butter.
- Cool the mixture for 5-10 minutes in the refrigerator until it becomes semi-solid and creamy when mixed together.
- Stir in the brown sugar, cocoa powder and chili powder. Mix everything together.
- Add the peppermint essential oil and mix until well combined.
- Package in lip pots. Let cool throughly.
Apply Sweet and Spicy Chocolate Lip Polish to the lips and gently massage away dull skin. Leave on for two minutes, and rinse with warm water. Use two to three times a week.
Do not use on broken or freshly shaven skin. Due to the chili powder, this may cause a slight tingling sensation. For external use only. Use only as directed. Avoid contact with the eyes. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Keep out of reach of children unless under adult supervision.
