DIY Buttermilk Bath Soak for Silky, Nourished Skin
Cleopatra was definitely onto something when she indulged in daily beauty treatment milk baths. Suspend time in a rich, creamy milk bath that brings instant calm to irritated skin. This soak is pure wholesome goodness - down to the baking soda that soothes upset skin and reduces inflammation and swelling.

The fine sifted pure whole powdered milk is rich in twenty essential amino acids, vitamins and the sweet buttery fats that make milk the ultimate skin softener. Comes in a reusable vintage-style glass mug with a metal lid.

  • The natural lactic acid found in milk is a form of alpha-hydroxy-acid, an ingredient which can be found in some of the most expensive exfoliating products. This type of acid gently dissolves proteins to exfoliate dead skin cells, which reveal fresh, younger looking skin underneath.

  •  The lactic acid found in milk is extremely mild, so don’t worry, it won’t strip or irritate the skin. In fact, milk is quite soothing on dry skin.

  • Milk is also rich in vitamins and minerals — most notably Vitamin E and zinc — which help slow the process of aging and retain skin’s natural elasticity.

Have you had your milk, today? This vitamin-enriched bathing sensation is fit for a queen. Dissolve your stress into a milk bath, and your skin will thank you.

Ingredients:

    • 1 cup buttermilk
    • 1 cup whole milk
    • 1 cup sodium bicarbonate (baking soda)
    • 15 drops essential oil

Instructions:

    1. Combine dry ingredients. Mix well.
    2. Add essential oil.
    3. Store in a glass jar with a lid.

Recommended Use: 1/2 cup per bath. The soak is wonderful unscented, or you can add up to 1% essential oils.
